We hold the following common Statement of Belief to be true:

In one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In Jesus Christ as true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins. He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father as the High Priest and Advocate of all who believe.

In the Holy Spirit as a divine person sent to dwell in, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. In the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God. It is totally true and trustworthy, without contradiction, entirely authoritative, and is a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of all mankind.

In the sinful corruption of all men through Adam, and their inability to earn salvation by works.

In personal salvation, that is, the spiritual experience of an individual, through faith, in response to God’s grace, which brings forgiveness of sins and new life in Christ.

That true faith in Christ expresses itself in loving God supremely, trusting Him completely, and obeying His commands unconditionally. Anything less is not true faith.

In the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, enabling him to maintain Christian purity and empowering him for Christian service.

In the future coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the final judgment by God upon all mankind, in which believers will enter into everlasting life in the presence of God, and unbelievers into eternal torment in hell.

In the observance of the Sacraments of Jesus Christ, that is, commumon and believer’s baptism. These are ordinances to be observed bythe church but should not be regarded as a means of salvation.

In the church of Jesus Christ, composed of all Christians, and the importance of supporting the local church through prayers, faithful attendance, and the giving of tithes and offerings.

In the mission of the church, which is the nurture and edification of believers and the evangelization of the world.
